Ashwell Academicals 2017/18 Trophy Night

This years Trophy Night was a massive success.  The weather was perfect, and all the kids had a great time having a kick around with their friends, while everyone else enjoyed the BBQ and Bar.  There was also a set of stocks for the coaches which the children (and some of the parents) enjoyed throwing wet sponges at.  All players from all year groups received medals or trophies, and there were special trophies including players player, managers player, most improved, etc.  We have all had an amazing season, and it was a perfect way to end on a high.

Thank you  to everyone that supported and helped us, and we are all looking forward to an equally fun and successful 2018/19 season.

U7s at the St Ives 5-a-side tournament

Some members of the U7s squad took part in the St. Ives 5-a-side tournament on 3rd June.

They had a fantastic morning of football playing against teams from beyond our Royston Crow league.  They put in a great team performance, playing in some exciting matches and having opportunity to demonstrate their skills!

Here they are receiving their medals to mark the occasion!

Well played Accies!

Ashwell Accies Under 16’s League Champions !

Following yesterday’s away result against FC Comets where we won 1-2, we have now secured the League Champions position with 2 games left.

The boy’s have all worked and played so hard in every match this season.

They have shown commitment throughout the year rain sleet or snow.

We have seen some fantastic football this season and they deserve to be league champions.

The main core of this team have been together for 10 years, and this is by far their best year.

We have two away  game’s left and we’d all like to finish the season unbeaten.

Up the Accies.

Pat & Alan.
